Three Rivers Rifle-Pistol Range to open on Sunday

Fabius Township Supervisor John Kroggel has told the owners of a newly-opened firing range that the operation violates the township's zoning ordinance.

Now if you were a business owner wouldn't you check to make sure there is appropriate zoning before even beginning this? No wonder so many small businesses don't make it thru the 1st year.

It seems the going saying around this area is that "It is easier to ask forgiveness than permission". Did not seem to work this time. And it would have given the toter's somewhere to go during Fair week.

So, things are not going off with a bang on Sunday?

The owners might have found the Township more receptive to working with them without litigation if they hadn't thumbed their nose at the Board during the meeting when they said they were opening regardless. I guess some people think they are above the law when it comes to their own activities. You would think a former policeman would have more respect for the law!

Excuse my ignorance on this subject, but why can't people just use the same range as the cops use? I thought that one was at the Public Services at the south end of Lincoln Street.

Tabletop -you are aware of the 'holier than thou' attitude of our local law officers aren't you? They would hate to have share anything with the lowly public for whom they have no respect.
