So what did you all think? Is everyone absolutely sure of their vote now?

I don't know Daryl did pretty well. I really like what he had to say about the character program. I might just have to change my vote [:D]

Ronda,

Thanks, you did very well yourself. [:)]

Buck,

Before we get to the election I'd like to thank you again for all you have done on behalf of the city political system and us (candidates). Providing the web space to candidates free of charge, investing the time money and effort into the forum and all the hardware, software and programing behind it. While doing this you've done a very good keeping Buck, Ronda's husband and Buck, system administrator and moderator seperate and very fair. I believe what you do must be time consuming but it needn't be thankless so I say, Thank you. Your honesty, fairness and efforts have not gone unnoticed and are appreciated.

[:)]

Daryl I really appreciate the kind words. Maintaining Liberty 1st is a great way for me to combine two of my passions in life, technology and politics.

Gretta,

First, good job last evening at the forum. Actually this is one of the better forums I’ve seen in a while and I think everyone did a great job.

I believe (and please forgive and correct me if I am wrong) you indicated opposition to “minimum standards” ordinances. If I recall you voiced support for it earlier this year when the legal order was being debated by the commission and in fact voted for that order. Did I misinterpret something or have you changed you mind?

Also to Buck, I did the best I could to squeak a plug in for the forum. I was going to say a bit more about it at closing but it’s tough to get anything inside of a minute. It will be interesting to see if traffic picks up any.

Thanks,

Hmmm will traffic pick up at all? Here are the actual numbers from Sunday until today at 11:15 am.

Thanks for the plugs!!! Now people need to join up and put their own .02 cents in.

Well we are in the home stretch to Election day on Tuesday. I urge anyone who unsure of there choice to find out all you can about the candidates. I hope my website and more importantly our discussions here over the last month or so have made clear what I intend to fight for (or against) and what ideas and insights I bring to the commission. My thanks to those who decide to give me their support this coming Tuesday and also to those who won’t but have listened anyway. I think if nothing else everyone posting here has very clearly demonstrated that an on-line forum is the ideal place for meaningful discussions of real issues. I believe all have expressed views, passionately when need be but with courtesy and respect for differing opinions. I value greatly what has taken place on this forum in the past months and hope it continues well after the elections are complete.

I guess the statement I presented at the Chamber of Commerce “Meet the Candidate” best sums up my desire to serve as your commissioner and what I believe I stand for.

“My goal was, is, and ever shall be to provide my children and yours with the best city I possibly can. Help me make Three Rivers a better place, a city you are proud to call home.”

Thank you

I did just look at that particular link. Honestly, I’m not sure what they are hinting at or what your “worse assumption” might be. I think you need to be selling or distributing something to infringe upon a brand. Can you be any more specific?

I am going to post my worst assumption on the other thread to keep the continuity of the topic going.

To everyone,
I would like to thank everyone for their support, or not, [;)]for all the discussions on the topics affecting our community. I have learned a lot and if re-elected, I will continue to represent the citizens with honesty, integrity, and leadership. I will be sure to keep my armor on...lol [:)]

Anyway, I am having an election get-together at the Super 8 Motel in the Conference Room around 8:30pm Tuesday. Refreshments will be provided. Come and watch Democracy in action!!!

Thank you all again for all the discussions and input.
