The community has spoken and soundly at that!!! It is time for a change. The community has a great opportunity to bring a well managed healthcare system to the area. If left to the current adminstration more jobs and services will be cut. I would urge folks to attend the Authority Board Meeting scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7 AM and make your opinions known. And to let the board and administration know that the hospital belongs to the community not to some management company form TN. It is amazing that 30 or 40 ex-employees can have such an impact on a community. Someone should have thought of that before firing us good voting citizens.

Once again I will come back and say that there are ways to save the hospital without a TAX BAILOUT. This community is not paying attention!!!!! I don't think that any of us want some sort of health care to be absent from the community. What it looks like may be a whole lot different than what TRH is. And again those of us with traditional sorts of insurance usually choose to go to Kalamazoo or South Bend Elkhart for our healthcare. True life threatening emergency are usually stabalized by our fantastic EMT's in the community and then most critical cases are shipped north ANYWAY!!!!! So $300 per year or $25 per month increase on our mortgages is an OK thing?????? Not for our family - we will have to give up something! And this $1.4 million dollars per year - what is that going to do but only stop the bleed out for a while!! This is not a long term solution and that is what needs to be looked at. As for the unemployment rate - there are healthcare jobs out there - you have to look for them and I suggest that you start looking!!!!! The residence of the community have to wake up and take control of this situation. TAXES are not the way!!

Community - management has EVERYTHING to do with it - the economy does not. I was told today that if this TAX BAILOUT goes thru the average household will pay $300 per year or $25 a month more on thier mortgage. To some that may not sound like a lot but to some of us that means that our families have to do WITHOUT so that TRH Administrators can get big fat bonus's just like AIG. It will happen!!! Don't be fooled by that reported positive bottom line - I know first hand bottom lines are not the truth at TRH - the newspaper only prints what Matt Chambers approves!!!! Yes they DO!!!!!! There aer many other options for healthcare close - most of us with standard insurance go to Kalamazoo. And we never have to wait or get mis-diagnosed. And again community that is a managemant problem and has nothing to do with the economy.
