Like many others, I believe it was time for a change. As Blaine stated, it is a refreshing step forward. Although I live outside city limits, from the information I've read thus far, it appears that Mr. Balog has acted on the best interest of the citizens. It makes me 'almost' as angry after reading the article today that 1.6 billion taxy payer dollars went to the top executives. The same banks that recently received bail outs from the government on our dime. The same banks who continue to freeze the credit market. This included cash bonuses, stock options, personal use of company jets, etc.,, etc. In response to your question, One Person's View, all of this infuriates me! Personally, I am appalled that as a tax paying American, you cannot question the leadership of this country or individuals who will possibly lead. It is unfortunate that an individual cannot ask a legitimate question without repercussions (i.e., releasing an individuals tax information, 'Joe the plumber isn't really a plumber', etc., etc.) from the biased media, or cheap shots by those running. In case any one is wondering, I am not for either candidate and will have a difficult time voting this election as my vote will end up being motivated by who I don't want in office, instead of who I believe is qualified to lead this country out of the current economic crisis, manage two wars, fight terrorism, reform healthcare, etc. Unfortunately, this election has done nothing except leave a bitter taste in my mouth and the only clear message I see is the same old politics at play .. which is clearly evident after watching this election process and the actions of individuals if you dare question the next potential leader of this country.
