thick, First of all I'm glad its the end of the discussion for you. For you to think that I am putting grass fires ahead of life threatening calls, you are mistaken and simply fail to recognize my point. Thats your choice. I do believe Lockport is worse off now than if they stayed with the partnership. With that said, that will be my "end of discussion".

Actually Runnachick, I was responding to a previous post. However, does the City of Three Rivers have with the equipment necessary to handle grass fires? Isn't it true, that CFD has difficulty getting firefighters to respond during the day? (This isn't the problem of the individual firefighters - many of them work outside the village during the day). Isn't it true, that by utilizing multiple departments that Lockport Township will actually spend more money than they would have by just staying in the existing agreement? Please have YOUR facts when you respond. Instead of telling me how wrong I am, maybe you could 've supplied your facts.

Runnachick, You are obviously looking for an argument. Your frustration and newness to fire service is showing. Again, if you were personally offended by my lack of mentioning a department or saying anything about firemen, I am sorry.

Runnachick, I stand by what I said. Lockport residents are NOT better off under this arrangement. I never said anything about firemen or named a single department. Please...turn the pressure down on the nozzle.

As a resident of Lockport I have 2 thoughts: 1) The way the board handled this was/is a joke and pure grandstanding by most. This prevented them from recognizing they should stay with the existing contract. 2) As a resident, we are ALL at risk now. Our property and lives are going to be dependent on departments with poor response times and less than adequate equipment. ALL residents of our township should be ashamed and looking to move. The board has become the laughing stock of the community. What a shame.
