Park Township property tax records to go online

Three Rivers Area • Aug 28, 2011 8:37 PM

You are right Brat65 it is not illegal to take pictures of a home from the road, just don't step on the property. Not all the information they are going to provide is available now. So, what it means is that it will be necessary to purchase ADT to further protect our property.

I have no problem with realtors having information when they are selling our home but otherwise they have no need to know. Yes, the county has property description, name and address but does not tell how many square feet in home, nor does it post pictures. As far as I am concerned, this is NOT public information, this is an INVASION OF PRIVACY and should be disseminated on a need to know basis. I now know who that lady was taking pictures of our home a year or so ago. She doesn't know how close she came to talking to the police. If my camera batteries had not picked that time to die, I would have had a picture of her to take to Sheriff's Dept. and she would have been explaining why she was taking pictures of our home. The Constitution of the United States of America is being tromped on to the point that it is hardly recognizable.

Do they want our credit card and bank account numbers to post also? This is so stupid it doesn't deserve to be given any space in print. We all know this is a crook's dream -- honest people will use it as it should be -- the others "NO." And to charge $2 to see someone else's property is a joke -- why not $50-$100? Who needs to see a picture of our house and yard, or # of square feet in the house? Would they like a floor plan to hand over to any Tom, Dick or Harry? Why don't they just drive the crooks to our homes?

County plans to send nearly $7 million out of sta

This is utter craziness! One thing I have found over the years is that you need to investigate a person running for any office because they can say one thing and then do another. Seen it happen too many times. I agree this is one of the most "hair-brained" ideas I have heard.

Petition opposing proposed Fisher Lake sewer proj.

Three Rivers Area • May 29, 2011 2:08 PM

The response from another resident has me concerned. They want to present a petition showing residents "in favor of sewer system" that is 5 years or more old. With the turnover of residents I think there needs to be another petition/survey taken by township board. Using a document that is 5 or more years old is irresponsible.
