Well the only training you have over a volunteer is a medical license. How much water does the aerial carry 750 gallons, far from being a tanker! Per medical auth. or state ambulance is staffed by two, to be advance you need one paramedic and emt at min. Far more educated then you think!

takeastand check the minutes. Yes i know you know who was there, because you were. no one is blaming anyone, we are just tired of the incoming board misleading already. LFP has three pumper tankers, who are you kidding that one tanker can cover the township. takeastand you would not have heard wayne say this because you got up and left the meeting before he said it. But it is forever in the minutes.

Well lets start with the figures or formulas. The city figured using the equipment and manpower they have., which to start is 4 full time firemen and 1 pumper with 750 gallons of water. out of the 4 full time 2 are dedicated to the ambulance 1 needs to operate the firetruck which leaves 1 to fight fire until someone else gets to the scene. My point is we need to compare apples to apples. 750 gallons will not fight very much fire, and that's a fact! Full time can be very deceiving, full time firefighters are no more trained then volunteer firefighters. The only difference is that's their full time job, volunteer's have other jobs. No tankers or grass trucks are operated by the city fire department. I agree Takeastand when you say people should talk to the board and find out rather then assume, but when you stated that you leave your options open i don't think you really do. A few post ago you sounded like you already have a deal with the city.

Yes you heard wrong. Wayne said the price was to low it needed to be higher. You seem to be for the city also! I just hope you have all the facts before making "the unknown leap at the cost of the taxpayer".
