Sturgis PD hosting concealed pistol class

Ya know, that really gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling when a PD involves and offers to help the citizenry instead of shutting them out. In a lot of places, it would be unthinkable to offer anything firearms related.... the attitude would be more like, "That's our deal, OK it's not illegal for you to possess and carry a firearm but we strongly disapprove....". Sturgis PD is saying, "We recognize it's not a perfect world and that we can't be everywhere all the time; you have a right to protect yourself and your family, let us help and together we can keep our community safer". Mega-kudos to a PD that embraces its community this way.

Dang it! Will somebody please post a link to the circumstances on this..... didn't hear a thing about it. I had to chuckle when I read the article about the largest haul of crack in Three Rivers..... 2.5 oz's..... not belittling anyone mind you, it was just kind of funny after that headline to read 2.5. Good on them anyway! I loved the story, and how it was not just luck that brought about the bust, it was investigation, planning, and cooperation. And a good doggie..... I noticed the police report that day too, a TON of stuff going on. Our guys aren't a bunch of Barney Fifes. I'm proud of them and I hope they are getting the support and appreciation they deserve. Wouldn't it be great if eventually it became well known that Three Rivers / St. Jo County is not a good place to do business if you're a criminal?
