Rowdy's beef with this forum

Rowdy-I don't know you, and I'm sure you don't know me, so let me introduce myself. I am Trampis Shears wife. My husband used to work at DPS until things got to unbearable. I won't go into all the details right now, due to time restraints, but let me assure you there ARE "disgruntled" employees. I encouraged my husband to quit because I knew he would be a happier man without having to deal with the "stuff" that goes with a city job. And he is happier. We could have been better off financially if he could have stayed (we have 6 year old twins with health problems), but for our families QUALITY of life, we decided to move on. My husband is not alone in his opinion of the city, but others just chose not to let it affect their home lives, and I'm glad they can do that. But for you to say that there is no problem is flat out WRONG! There are issues that need to be addressed that aren't because Three Rivers City Government refused to admit that change might be better for everyone involved.

I'm all for vaccines! I have three children and I'm proud to say all are up-to-date on their vaccines. There was an older lady who worked for the health dept. about six years ago who said it best. When I had my oldest son in for an immunization one day, I commented about how hard her job must be - making babies cry all day. She looked at me with a very sad look an her face and said "It's better than the alternative, when I was young, I lost a brother to polio, and had several friends who suffered the same fate." She went on to tell me that that was why she choose to do this in her retirement. It was her way of saving lives. I agree, and thank her.

Casino in Sturgis: Developing chance

Why make it easier than it already is for people who don't have the strength to stop. Obviously, if someone wants something bad enough, they'll find a way to get/do it! But why make it easier? As for the smoking/drinking group at the Tap Room, they didn't have to go anywhere to feed their addiction, Pub 21 is still there. I'm not say there shouldn't be any gambling/smoking/drinking, all I'm saying is limit the availability.

Casino in Sturgis: Developing chance

My main problem with so many casinos is that they prey upon people who don't have the ability to control their gambling. I don't think it's right to make it any easier, in this economy, to ruin anyone's life! I don't gamble, not even lottery tickets, and it makes me so sad when you hear about addicts that lose everything just because it's everywhere. If there weren't so many casinos, it wouldn't be so easy!

How ridiculous!! I'm all for animal rights too, but it took me awhile to realize they are SERIOUS! People like this are scary. It's called the food chain.
